People enjoys ‘Poem Festival’ in Rangpur

The  Winter Poem Festival-2019 entertained a large number of common people of all ages at  Rangpur Shilpokola Academy Auditorium on Sunday night.‘The Anjolika Sahittya Potra’, a popular weekly literary magazine, organised the festival participated by noted writers, poets and lyricists belonging to different generations, educationists, literary and socio-
cultural personalities.
Editor of ‘The Anjolika Sahittya Potra’ poet Dilruba Shahadat presided over the festival where recitation of poems, self-composed poems and lyrics dedicated to the winter season entertained the audience.
Noted writers and poets Mohfel Haque, Abu Jafar Abdullah, literary organiser and lyricist AKM Shahidur Rahman and educationist Professor Shariful Amin Kochi addressed the festival as guests of honour.
Writers and poets Shahjahan Mandal, Reazul Nabi, Basher Ibne Jahur, Tasmin Afroz, Lutfar Rahman Shaju, Mahbubul Alam Sarker, SM Sathi Begum, Dr Nasima Akhter, Dr Ferdous Rahman, Mizanur Rahman, Selina Sattar Shelly, Mamtazur Rahman Babu and Golam Mostafa recited self-composed poems.
Recitation of poems by poet-lyricists Abdul Hakim Khosru, Shahida Milky, Hasnine Rabbi, Joseph Akhter, Nahid Afroz Liza, Rumana Begum, Mossarraf Hossain, Kamrul Hasan, Rabiul Islam Lazu, Bazlur Rashid, Sumaiya Tasnim, Zannatul Ferdous, Sumona Mahfuz Chowdhury and Eshita Ahmed Esha
entertained the audience a lot.
Besides, Ziaul Alma Faruki, Sharif Ahmad, Mouli Islam, Nasrine Naz, Zobayer Ali Jewell, Soilendra Nath Barma, Zakia Sultana, Pervin Sultana, Lutfar Rahman, Shahnaz Pervin, Matiar Rahman Afrin and Ayesha Siddika recited mself-composed poems, rhymes and lyrics.
Poet Dilruba Shahadat called for nurturing all rich components of Bengali literature, culture and heritage to revive the lost social values for building a peaceful and prosperous Bangladesh free from drug, corruption, militancy and terrorism.
