PM hosts iftar for eminent citizens

Dhaka-Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday hosted an iftar party for judges, diplomats and high civil and military officials at her official Ganobhaban residence.Before the Iftar, the Prime Minister went round different tables set for the guests, exchanged pleasantries with them and enquired about their well-being.
A special munajat was offered before the iftar seeking continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation and eternal peace of the departed souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other martyrs of the August 15 and the martyrs of the Liberation War as well as good health and long life of the Prime Minister.
Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Mufti Maulana Mizanur Rahman conducted the munajat.
Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, Jatiya Party chairman and PM’s Special Envoy HM Ershad, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam, Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Haque, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Nizamuddin Ahmed, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Abu Esrar, PM’s Principal Secretary Md Abul Kalam Azad, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Mahmoud Yahia Mohammed Ezzat Mostofa were present on the dais.
Besides, PM’s Advisers, judges of the Supreme Court and High Court, senior officials of various ministries, government organizations and departments and diplomats of different countries joined the iftar.
