PM joins Armed Forces’ iftar

Bangladesh Armed Forces on Wednesday hosted an iftar party in honour of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Senamalancha of Dhaka Cantonment.The Prime Minister went round different tables set for the members of the armed forces and other dignitaries, exchanged greetings with them and enquired about their well-being.Before the iftar, a special munajat was offered seeking divine blessings for continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation as well as the development and advancement of the armed forces.Prayers were also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other victims of the August 15 massacre, martyrs of the War of Liberation and martyred armed forces members.

Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, Leader of the Opposition Raushon Ershad, PM’s Special Envoy and Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury, Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, Jute and Textiles Minister Imajuddin Pramanik, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon, LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Engineer Khandker Mosharraf Hossain, Fisheries and Livestock Minister Sayedul Haque, PM’s Security Adviser Major General (retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique, Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Haque, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Nizamuddin Ahmed, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Abu Esrar, Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Division Lieutenant General Md Mahfuzur Rahman and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Mahmoud Ezzat were present at the dais.Besides, Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Miah and other ministers, PM’s advisors, parliament members, politicians, ex-chiefs of the three services, diplomats and high civil and military officials were present.Earlier on her arrival at Senamalancha, Sheikh Hasina was received by PM’s Security Adviser Maj Gen (retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique, chiefs of the three services and the PSO of the Armed Forces Division.
