Dhaka – The three-day “Prime Medical College Cup Golf Tournament- 2017′ concluded through a colourful prize distribution ceremony at Rangpur Golf Club in Rangpur Cantonment here this afternoon.More than 100 contestants of different Golf Clubs from all over the country participated in the male, female, junior and sub-junior groups of the tournament sponsored by Prime Medical College (PMC), Rangpur, a press release said. Rangpur Area Commander and General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 66 Infantry Division Major General Md Masud Razzaque attended the inaugural and concluding ceremonies as the chief guest. In the Male Group, golfer Brigadier General Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah secured the first position while golfer Dr Zabed Akhter won the best gross award. Golfer Major Ashraf became the runner up while golfer Major General Md Masud Razzaque won the second best gross award. Golfer Enamul Haque Sohel became the second runner up while golfer Colonel Moazzem won the third best gross award.Golfer Brigadier General Shefaul Kabir became the third runner up while golfer Brigadier General Mahbub Sarwar secured the maxim par award. Lieutenant Colonel Aziz won the’conventional on’ award while golfer Brigadier General Md Amin Akbar won award for making the longest drive.In Female Group, golfer Arina became the winner while golfer Nasrine Haque Boby won the best gross award.Samiha secured the first position while Sadat became the runner up in Junior Group. Wadi and Saba jointly secured the first position while Momo became the runner up in the Sub-Junior Group. Major General Masud Razzaque, who is also President of Rangpur Golf Club, distributed awards among the winners of the tournament in the prize distribution ceremony. Chairman of Prime Sonic Group Professor Dr Akkas Ali Sarker, Director of Prime Medical College and Hospital Dr Mostafizur Rahman, military officials, participating golfers and local journalists attended the ceremony.Agency
