Dhaka-The mortal remains of late poet Shaheed Quaderi will arrive here from New York today (Wednesday).An Emirates flight (EK 202) carrying the body left JFK Airport at 11:03pm on Tuesday, Bangladesh Consul General in New York Consulate Shameem Ahsan told UNB.
Another flight ( EK582) is scheduled to reach HSIA, Dhaka via Dubai at 8:40am on Wednesday, he said.
Ishrat Jahan, poet’s wife, son Adnan Quaderi and family friend Sabrina Hai Urbee left JFK, New York by Qatar airlines, QR 0702, at 9:50pm on Tuesday and will reach Dhaka via Doha on Wednesday at 5:10am.
Shameem Ahsan was at JFK Airport, New York to see them off and pay last respect to the poet.
