Premiere of Shankhachil held

Indian 63rd National Award winning film Shankhachil is all set to be released in both Bengals on April 14, marking the beginning of the Bengali New Year (Pohela Boishakh). Tollywood superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee was in Dhaka for the premiere of this film, which took place at Star Cineplex in the capital. Prosenjit, Kusum Sikdar, Director Goutam Ghose, Faridur Reza Sagar and Shajbati were present.   Zee Studios is planning to release the Bengali flick with subtitles on April 15.

With the release of this film, Shankhachil becomes the first Bengali film to release in 4K projection in Bengal.

After the immense success of Moner Manush, director Goutam Ghose is ready to wow audiences yet again with another mesmerising Indo-Bangladesh saga. Shankhachil is a story of the physical and emotional journey of a family along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

Based on an original story by Goutam Ghose and Sayantani Pututanduand and produced by Ideas Creations, Productions Pvt. Ltd, Ashirbad Chalochittra and Impress Telefilm Ltd, Shankhachil is an evocative story that highlights the theme of the suffering of humanity divided by national borders.
