President of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) Mahbubul Alam on Tuesday urged the Chairman of the Association of Bankers Bangladesh (ABB) to provide money after rescheduling classified loan to assist parties so that they can overcome their financial crisis.Mahbubul Alam made the request during a meeting with ABB Chairman and Managing Director and CEO of National Credit and Commerce Bank Ltd Mohammed Nurul Amin at the CCCI office.
He also called for motivating more investment in the private sector to expand trade and business.
Alam said inadequate warehouse, increase in transportation cost and high lending rates are among many reasons that are taking their toll on trade and business in Chittagong region,
CCCI vice president Syed Jamal Ahmed, Akhtar Hamid Khan and Swapan Kumar Das and Mukhtar Ahmed were also present. (Source: UNB)
