Naim Imtiaz Niamul, noted director of TV dramas has taken up two daring projects at the same time. Both of them are full-length films. The first one is based on the novel Gangchil, written by Road Transport and Bridges Minister, Obaidul Quader while the second one is titled Jam. Maharat of the film Jam will be held tomorrow while the actor signing ceremony of Gangchil is expected to be held on August 3.
Name of actors of Jam have already been revealed Purnima will act in the film, breaking her long hiatus from the big screen. The name of the actor has been kept secret till now, but that he will be popular one has been confirmed. It also needs to be mentioned that Jam will bring back Kritanjali into film productions.
The production house was established by film actor Manna. But since his death in 2008 the house has not produced any film for nearly a decade. Whether their comeback production would manage to ring the bells under director Niamul remains to be seen.
Minister Obaidul Quader and Tarana Halim, State Minister for Post and Telecommunication will be present at the Maharat of Jam tomorrow. The shooting of the film will start from October.
On the other hand the actor of Gangchill would be Ferdous. Purnima might also feature in the film, but this has not been confirmed as yet.
