Noted film star Purnima is busy acting in TV plays and telefilms for the upcoming Eid ul Adha. Currently she is busy filming Redwan Rony’s telefilm “Dewal-er Opare”, which will be aired on BanglaVision. Xovan and Intekhab Dinar are also co-starring in the telefilm.

However, Purnima’s debut film was “E Jibon Tomar Amar”. She was discovered by director Zakir Hossain. She acted with Riaz in “Moner Majhe Tumi” in 2003. She also acted in “Megher Por Megh” based on Bangladesh Liberation War director and by Chashi Nazrul Islam. She acted in “Shuva”, a story based on Rabindranath Tagore’s short story Shuvashini. In another movie “Shubha”, Purnima acted as a mute girl. Her other notable commercial successes are “Hridoyer Kotha”, “Akash Chhoya Bhalobasa”, “Poran Jaye Jolia Rey”, “Matir Thikana”, “Judge Barrister Police Commissioner” and others.

The actress returned after three years and is currently in a television play titled “Candy Crush” where Tousif Mahbub is her co-actor. She thinks newcomers are doing well. They are really serious about their work.

Purnima’s daughter is still quite young so she cannot spend much time acting for movies. She might do a few movies if the plot is interesting, but she cannot be a regular on films.
