Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s next much awaited project Fanney Khan started making headlines every since its announcement. The film that is directed by Atul Manjrekar also stars Anil Kapoor and Divya Dutta. But all this while, we all wondered that which actor is going to play the male lead in the film and star opposite Aish. Various names including R Madhavan, Rajkummar Rao and Vicky Kaushal were doing rounds on the internet for this role but the makers of the film recently made an official announcement regarding the same.
After all this waiting, it was finally announced that Rajkummar Rao will be playing the role opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Fanney Khan. The news was announced by one of the producers of the film – Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, who took to his twitter and wrote, “#FanneyKhan @AnilKapoor @RajkummarRao @divyadutta25 @TSeries @kriarj #Ash welcome aboard Raj tighten your seat belt for the roller coaster.”
As per a leading daily, Rajkummar Rao will be growing a beard for his look in the film to look compatible with Aishwarya. Thrilled Rao spoke about the film and working with Aish to a popular daily. He said, “I am super-excited to be working with her (Aishwarya). I’ll start preparing for my part in Fanney Khan the moment I am done shooting for my film on Subhash Chandra Bose.”
Meanwhile, we hear that Anil Kapoor has already started shooting for the film, while Aishwarya will be joining the team in October. Fanney Khan went on floors on September 3 and is slated for its release in April next year. The film is also co-produced by KriArj Entertainment and T-Series.
