After more than three decades a popular production from Tapan Chowdhury-Ayub Bachchu-Khoshnur has been reengineered to suit modern tastes. Titled ‘Mone Koro’ the song was composed and arranged by late band musician Ayub Bachchu, written by the first recognised female lyricist of the country- Khoshnur and voiced by Tapan Chowdhury in 1985. It was part of Tapan’s debut album released from Sargam. Now, new generation singer Konal has voiced for the renewed version of the song and it was released on her YouTube channel on June 6 for Eid music fans.
Jahid Nirob has rearranged the musical scores while Anik Ahammed has mixed and mustered them. Maruf Raihan has directed a black and white music video where Konal is seen singing in the studio of Butter Communications. According to the intro of the music video it has been dedicated to Khoshnur, the first commercially successful lyricist of Bangladesh.
Tapan Chowdhury who is now living in Canada personally gave his consent when Konal approached him for a new version of the song. The new musical arrangement is good and Konal has also sung it well, Tapan thinks so much so that if Bachchu could have listened to it he would have liked it.
