Robi Axiata Limited signed an agreement with IT Consultants Ltd (ITCL) on Thursday to introduce mobile phone recharge service through ATMs.
Robi chief operating officer Mahtab Uddin Ahmed and managing director & CEO of ITCL Kazi Saifuddin Munir inked the deal on behalf of their respective companies, said a press release.Supun Weerasinghe, MD & CEO of Robi Axiata Limited, was present on the occasion.
Through availing this unique service, account holders of Trust Bank and Jamuna Bank using ATM cards can recharge any Robi pre-paid numbers.
Bill payment of post-paid numbers will also be included in a few weeks.
The service is designed to ensure a new customer-friendly experience while providing a secured platform to recharge against their Robi numbers.
Commercial launch of the service is scheduled to commence on December 16.
Initially, Trust Bank and Jamuna Bank account holders will be able to avail this service.
It is expected that this service will soon be available for account holders of other leading commercial banks. – UNB
