Rajshahi, March 01 – Rajshahi University Urdu department Associate Professor Roshidul Alam on February 20 filed a general diary in Motihar Police Station against his colleague Professor Shohidul Islam for allegedly threatening him. Roshidul Alam said on the general diary, I complained to the university administration on December 30, 2019, against my department teachers Professor Hossain Ahmed Kamali, Professor Ataur Rahman and the department chairman Professor Nasir Uddin against their irregularities. After that, Shohidul Islam threatened me in presence of Nasir Uddin and Ataur Rahman and abused me and the political party Bangladesh Awami League I support.
Professor Shohidul Islam said I faced few problems with him for selecting department books. But I can’t remember when I threatened him. Rather sometimes he uses to show his power as he is a supporter of the Awami League. – RU Correspondent
