RU VC calls UGC report accusing him of graft discriminatory

Rajshahi – University Grants Commission (UGC) report found evidence of corruption against Rajshahi University vice-chancellor Professor M Abdus Sobhan. The RU VC branded UGC’s investigation report as one-sided and discriminatory and wanted judicial investigation on accusations against him.

VC demanded this on Sunday in a press conference held at the senate building of the University.
He said that all allegations about corruption against him are fake and baseless.
The RU Vice-chancellor said in the press conference, any logical accusation must be investigated. I am not against investigation. But the investigation should have been done by an impartial committee and in an appropriate way.
‘I sent a letter to the chairman of UGC on September 9 and hoped that the chairman would consider my letter then take the next step. But that did not happen. UGC’s investigation report against me is one-sided and discriminatory. So I want judicial investigation on accusations against me, he added.
