A 12-member high-level Russian delegation visited the proposed site for Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant in Ishurdi upazila on Monday.The Russian delegation visited the site to gather for themselves information about sorting out suitable place for preliminary development work, identifying existing establishments and mounting of fences.The delegation included the deputy director, the deputy chief engineer and the chief project engineer of Russian Atomic Energy Commission and some nuclear specialists.While talking to reporters after the visit, the delegation members said a 200-member specialist team will start the field level work of the power plant in the first week of August this year. -UNB, Pabna
