Dhaka- Defending champions Bangladesh U-15 Women’s team are ready to fight against Nepal in their 2nd and last group match of the six-nation SAFF U-15 Women’s Championship at Changlimithan Stadium in Thimpu on Monday to decide the group champions.
Both Bangladesh and Nepal, which already assured the semifinal berth from the group eliminating all-losers and debutant Pakistan, will meet each other at 7 pm (local time).
Touring Bangladesh, which made a flying start crushing Pakistan by massive 14-0 goals in the opening match, need just a draw against Nepal on Monday to be the group champions while Nepal have to beat Bangladesh to clinch the group title.
Ahead of the match against Nepal, Bangladesh team made intensive training, shooting practices and warm-up session on Sunday at Changjui Turf of Bhutan Football Academy in Thimpu under the Head Coach Golam Robbani Choton and Technical and Strategic Director Paul Thomas Smalley for more than one and half hour.
Bangladesh U-15 Women’s also made good gym training at team Hotel Ariya International in the afternoon as per message received here from Bangladesh Football Federation Sunday afternoon.Ahead of the match, Head Coach of Bangladesh Golam Rabbani Chotan said, “We have very good training session, have a nice team spirit, everybody of our team are ready to give their 100 percent to win the match, now we are only thinking about win, nothing else.”
Bangladeshi striker Tohura said, “I have made hat-trick in the last SAFF U-15 Championship at home last year, in the ongoing meet, I have also scored two goals against Pakistan and again looking for goals to win the match against Nepal too, although Nepal is better than Pakistan and they have some good players”
Bangladeshi defender Anai Moghni said, “We watched the Nepal-Pakistan match on Saturday, we find out many lapses and weakness in Nepal team, so it is easy for us now to fix a strategy to play against Nepal, we are ready to give our full efforts to win the match as well as to become the group champions”.
Head Coach of Nepal Team said, “Bangladesh is the defending champions, they are very strong and good balanced side in every departments, we have some good players too, we will try our best to play for win”
All Players of Bangladesh team are very much serious about the match, the physical condition of the team is also good, weather of the Bhutan is also fine, but have some occasional rain in the evening when temperature fall a little.
Earlier on Saturday, Nepal beat Pakistan by 4-0 goals while hosts Bhutan outplayed Sri Lanka by 6-0 goals to assure the semifinal berths from their respective groups.
Last-time runners-up India also reached the semifinal of the six-nation 2nd SAFF U-15 Women’s championship crushing Sri Lanka by 12-0 goals in the opening match at theChanglimithang Stadium in Thimphu Thursday afternoon.UNB
