Saif beat Brothers 2-0; Muktijoddha play 1-1 with NoFel

Dhaka – Saif Sporting Club beat Brothers Union Club by 2-0 goal in their 16th match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh on Monday.

After a barren first half, hosts Saif SC dominated the match from the beginning of the 2nd half and got its fruit as their Brazilian midfielder Alessandro Padovani Celin opened the account in the 50th minute (1-0).

In the stoppage time of the match (93rd minute), Alessandro’s strike netted the 2nd goal to seal a comfortable victory for Saif SC (2-0).

With the feat, Saif SC have secured 33 points from 16 matches while Brothers Union remained at their previous credit of 9 points from 15 encounters.

In another match of the day, Muktijoddha Sangsad KC played to a 1-1 draw with NoFel Sporting Club at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj.

NoFel SC got a blow when midfielder Khandokar Ashraful Islam put Muktijoddha Sangsad KC ahead in the 29th minute of the match (1-0).

After the first half, NoFel SC came alive and started attacking football.

They got a relief in the 63rd minute as their Guinean defender Yamoussa Camara levelled the margin (1-1).

Muktijoddha SKC have secured 17 points from 16 matches while NoFel SC bagged 10 points from 15 encounters.UNB
