Dhaka – Saif Sporting Club booked the last semifinal spot in the Walton Under-18 Football Tournament eliminating Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club by 2-1 goals in the 4th and last quarter final at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Monday.
They will play the 2nd semifinal with Chattogram Abahani Limited on Friday (September 27) while Bashundhara Kings will play the first semifinal against NoFel Sporting Club on Thursday (Sept 26).
The final match will commence on September 30.
In the day’s match, Sujon Mahat put Saif SC ahead in the 29th minute (1-0) while Mohammad Jibon restored the parity for Sheikh Jamal DC in the 80th minute (1-1).
Emon Mollah scored the match-winners for Saif SC just one minute before the final whistle (2-1)
Bashundhara Kings is the first team to reach the semifinal eliminating Brothers Union Club by 3-2 goals, NoFel Sporting Club booked a seat for the semis eliminating Arambagh Krira Sangha by 5-3 goals in tie breaker while Chattogram Abahani Ltd made a semifinal berth shocking Dhaka Abahani Ltd by 5-4 goals also in the tie breaker after 1-1 draw in the stipulated time.
