Dhaka – The School Hockey Competition will begin from January 25 next year under the auspices of Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF).
The decision was taken at the fifth executive committee meeting of BHF, chaired by its president and
Chief of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, at the BAF Shaheen Auditorium at Tejgaon here on Friday.
The federation initially selected country’s nine hockey venues for the school competition.
Besides, the federation decided to form a tournament organizing committee for Junior Asia Cup Hockey’2020, with Planning Minister Muhammad Abdul Mannan as its chief.
Ministers, state ministers and members of parliament will be the members of the committee, said a BHF press release.
Earlier, the BHF decided to host Junior Asia Cup Hockey in June 2020, marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.UNB
