Dhaka – A seminar on Butthan Combat Sports and Co-competition system was held at the main auditorium of Bangladesh Krira Sikkha Protisthan (BKSP) in Savar on Sunday.
The session started with the speech of Principle Lt.Col. Sahriar Kabir and later a demonstration was presented by Instructor Abdul Hamid (3rd degree Black Belt).
Hours long seminar and question and answer session was conducted in presence of hundreds of BKSP students and faculty members.
Director General Brig. Gen Rashidul Hassan thanked Dr. Mak Yuree Vajramunee for his outstanding initiative to popularize the Butthan worldwide. He specially appreciated the Butthan combat sports unique approach of Co-Competition system which was the main topic of the day.
World record holder and internationally acclaimed Martial arts icon & Satyapon Grand Master Acharya Yuree Vajramunee, the Superhuman as seen on Discovery channel and also known for his inspirational ’s Vincoism philosophy, addressed the seminar as the main speaker.
More than 40 districts of the country, Butthan combat sports being promoted successfully under the guidance of Bangladesh Butthan Federation President and former ambassador Syed Shahed Reza.
The word Butthan is a Sanskrit word means up-liftment or defense with distinction. Butthan is a system of self-defense and personal development with South Asian heritage.
Butthan is also a combat sports being practiced in different parts of the world under International Butthan Federation, USA.
Butthan included as a form of combat sports under National Sports Council (NSC) in Bangladesh in 2013. UNB
