Rajshahi, April 24 – A Seminar on“Updates in Hematology” Organized by Department of Hematology of Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) and Hematology Society of Bangladesh (HSB) was held at the college on Wednesday.
The program was held at the Amin Uddin Chowdhury gallery of the college from 09.00 to 01.00 on the day.
President of HSB Prof. Dr Md. Mahbubur Rahman presided over the program while Dr Romena Alom conducted the seminar.
Dr Morshed Zaman Miah, head of the Hematology department of the college delivered the welcome speech at the occasion.
Prof Dr Md Khalilur Rahman of Dept of Medicine and many others spoke at the scientific sessions.
Brig. Gen. Md. Jamilur Rahman, Director of the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) and Prof Dr Md Nowshad Ali, principal of the college were present there as special and chief guest respectively.
The speakers said, the Hemophilia is an alarming disease in Bangladesh where many of the patients of the disease are not aware of it.
They demand the installation of Bone marrow Transplant unit in the RMCH. – RU Correspondent
