Dhaka – The 3rd edition of the seven-team Women’s Football League will begin on January 31 at the Bir Shrestho Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur after a break of seven years.
Seven participating teams are — Bashundhara Kings, Anwara Sporting Club, Nasrin Sporting Club, Kacharipara Ekadash, FC Uttarbanga, Comilla United, Shopnochura & Akkelpur Football Academy.
The BFF is decided to hold the women’s football league on a regular basis in future.
Meanwhile, the League committee exchanged the views with the representatives of seven participating team at the BFF office on Monday.
Earlier, Dhaka Mohammedan Limited emerged champions in the last edition of league in 2013 beating Dhaka Abahani Limited.
Sheikh Jamal DC clinched the title in the first edition of the meet in 2011 beating Dhaka Mohammedan.UNB
