Leicestershire all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan says the key to continuing their impressive record in the FL t20 competition is having fun.The Foxes, who have won the event three times in its 10-year history, begin against Nottinghamshire on Friday.
Shakib, rated the world’s top-ranked all-rounder in one-day internationals, told BBC Radio Leicester: “In T20, the main thing is about enjoying yourself.
“If you do that, more often than not you get success.”
Bangladesh star Shakib, who bats left-handed and bowls left-arm spin, is Leicestershire’s second overseas player for this summer’s competition.
The 26-year-old will join Australia A batsman Joe Burns at Grace Road.
“We just need to play our game,” Shakib added. “We have a huge amount of experience and that will help us immensely. I am very excited to be playing for Leicestershire.”
