Dhaka — The participation of Bangladesh Test and T20 captain Shakib Al Hasan in the ongoing first class National Cricket League (NCL) is under doubt.
After the tri-series T20 last month, Shakib went to West Indies to play the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and his CPL team Barbados Tridents lifted the trophy of the event for the second time.
However, Shakib was supposed to play in NCL after returning from CPL. But the BCB chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu on Tuesday said that the participation of Shakib in NCL is uncertain.
“We are not sure whether he will play in the ongoing NCL or not. We actually not sure about it,” Minhajul told the media at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
The chairman of BCB cricket operation committee Akram Khan also told the same recently.As per the current circumstance, Shakib might return to competitive cricket with the national team during the next month’s tour to India.UNB
