Sheikh Jamal start with a stunning win over Khelaghar

Dhaka – Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club registered an 11-run over Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity on Monday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket in Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) T20.
Sheikh Jamal posted 169 runs while batting first and Khelaghar tumbled for 158 in 20 overs to concede the defeat at the start of the league.

Khelaghar won the toss in the match and decided to bowl first. Sheikh Jamal took the chance of batting first posting a challenging total of 169 for five wickets in 20 overs.
 Imtiaz Hossain and Fardeen Hasan added 38 runs in the opening stand for Sheikh Jamal. They passed 80-run mark losing three wickets.
 In the fourth-wicket stand, they got 65 runs in the board with the help of veteran all-rounder Nasir Hossain and wicketkeeper-batsman Nurul Hasan Sohan.
 Nasir posted 34 off 27 balls while Sohan added 43 off 28 with one four and three sixes to his name.
 Along with Nasir and Sohan, Imtiaz (31), Fardeen (21) and Hasanzzaman (26) also contributed with the bat.
 Moinul Islam took two wickets for Khelaghar while Robiul Haque, Irfan Hossain and Tanvir Islam took one wicket each for them.
 While replying, Robiul Islam Robi struck 69 off 51 balls but his effort went in vain as Khelghar failed to gain any point from the encounter.
 Along with Robiul, Sadiqur Rahman (21) and Mahidul Islam Ankon (34) contributed with the bat they were not good enough against the bowling department of Sheikh Jamal. They finished on 158/5 in 20 overs.
 Shahidul Islam, the right-arm pacer of Sheikh Jamal, took four wickets for 36 runs in four overs while Elias Sunny bagged the other one.
