Dhaka- Sadnan Hasan Dihan emerged unbeaten champion in Group A (for Class VI to X) of the Sheikh Kamal Memorial School Chess Tournament securing 4.5 points held at the Bangladesh Chess Federation hall room on Sunday.Swarnavo Choudhury emerged champions in Group B (for Class KG to V) collecting five points in the meet was organized on the occasion of 68th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Shaheed and founder of Abahani Limited Sheikh Kamal, elder son of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Noshin Anjum became runner-up with 4.5 points, Mortuza Mahathir Islam became 3rd and Ahmed Walijah became 4th securing 3.5 points each in Group A.Mortuza Muhtadi Islam became runner-up with 4 points, Manon Reja Neer became 3rd with 3.5 points in Group B.Ashiqur Rahaman Miku, Deputy Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association and Secretary General of Bangladesh Districts and Divisional Sports Organisers Council was the chief guest in the day’s closing function and distributed prizes among the winners.Games of the both groups were held in 5 round Swiss-League system.
