Shobnom Bubly to debut opposite Shakib Khan

Entertainment Desk

You don’t really have to spell out that Shakib Khan has monopolised most of the lead roles in Dhallywood films after the sad demise of Manna. Even though Khan’s on-screen chemistry with Apu Biswas has gained more success than with any other actress, the Dhallywood king seems to be inclined towards  newcomers. The newest name in the list is Shobnom Bubly who is set to debut in Khan’s latest endeavour Bossgiri as the female lead opposite  the superstar.

After completing her graduation from University of Dhaka, Bubly worked as a newsreader in a private TV channel. In the upcoming romantic-action flick, Bubly will play the role of a physician. The film also casts Misha Sawdagor, Sadek Bacchu, Shiba Sanu, DJ Sohel and Subrata among others.

Years ago, the announcement of Bossgiri was made public with Shakib Khan and Apu Biswas in the lead. However, just before the shooting started, Apu opted out from the project. Director Shamim Ahmed Rony found himself in a tricky situation where he needed to find a replacement for Apu Biswas. Since then, big names were linked with the film including the likes of Purnima, Mahiya Mahi, Shrabonti and even Koyel Mallik. In the end, it seems that the director found everything he was looking for in Shobnom Bubuly.

The filming of Bossgiri started  May 5 with Shakib Khan without the female lead but Bubly is scheduled to join him at the sets very soon.
