Siddikur slips to finish joint 41st in Maybank Championship

Dhaka, Feb 12 (UNB) – Siddikur Rahman finished joint 41st in the $3 million Maybank Championship which ended at Saujana Golf and Country Club, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Sunday.The only Bangladesh’s golfer in the tournament, Siddikur scored four-under-par 284, stayed 15 shots behind the champion Fabrizio Zanotti (Paraguay) who traded 19-under-par 269.David Lipsky (USA) finished runner-up scoring 18-under-par 270, followed by Bernd Wiesberger (Austria) with 17-under-par 271.Siddukur traded identical one-over-par 73 in the 3rd and 4th rounds, following identical three-under-par 69 in the 1st and 2nd rounds. He shared the 41st slot with five other golfers.In the 4th round, Siddikur traded three birdies, two bogies and an unfortunate double bogey to slip to the joint 41st slot from joint 29th. He birdied in the 7th, 8th and 13th holes, traded bogies in the 9th and 16th holes while a double bogey to put the 14th hole.UNB
