Dhaka – TC Sports Club of Maldives reached the final of the eight-team Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup Football 2017 eliminating Manang Marshyangdi Club of Nepal 1-0 goal in the first semifinal at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong on Monday evening.They will play final on Thursday (Mar 2) at 6:30 pm against the winner of holders Chittagong Abahani Limited and Pocheon Citizen FC of South Korea, who will meet each other in the 2nd semifinal on Tuesday.The first semifinal match was keenly contested as both the teams played attacking football and spoiled numerous chances that came their way.After a barren first half, TC Sports captain Nafiu Ali scored the match-winner in the 83rd minute.Azam Mohammad whipped a cross from the right flank, Manang goalkeeper Dinesh Thapa fisted the ball way and Nafiu Ali found net by a rebounder (1-0).In the stoppage time, the Zambian forward Manang Oladipo missed a golden chance to make the equalizer, but his driving shot from goal mouth melee, went away.UNB news agency
