Skipper Jamal Bhuyan tests positive for COVID-19

DHAKA  – Bangladesh national football team’s captain Jamal Bhuyan, who is currently in Doha, Qatar, was tested positive for COVID-19, a Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) press release said today.

Although the whole team returned after the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar qualifier match against Qatar, but Jamal stayed there for a few days.

Before returning in Bangladesh, the Bangladesh skipper had to go through COVID-19 test there on Thursday last (Dec. 10) and subsequently tested positive for coronavirus.

He is now in quarantine in a hotel in Doha, said the press release adding that he (Jamal) does not have any major symptoms.

The BFF is always in touch with Jamal and keeping communication with Qatar Football Association in this regards. BSS
