South Africa win thriller against Bangladesh Under-19s

South Africa Under-19s have beaten Bangladesh Under-19s by two runs in the third match of the Youth ODI series after losing the first two matches.Winning the toss, South Africa scored 229 for 4 in 50 overs at Sheikh Kamal International Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on Monday.  Bangladesh managed 227 for 7 in 50 overs.The Proteas middle-order could not score freely after the openers put on 63 runs. All-rounder Dayyaan Galiem made the highest 51.Bangladesh’s Saleh Ahmed took 3 for 41.Bangladesh lost opener Pinak Ghosh for only 9.  Bangladesh’s hope for victory was still alive though none of the middle-order batsmen could stay long at the crease.The other opener, Saif Hasan, topscored with 70. Mosabbek Hossain made 35 and Mohammad Saifuddin 36.But the failure of the batsmen at the end meant Bangladesh end up on the losing side.South Africa’s Ziyaad Abraham took 3 for 31.Bangladesh still lead the series 2-1.  The fourth match will be held on Wednesday.
