South Asia Youth Society holds ‘Let’s talk failure’ discussion

Success story is universally appreciated. What it will be if we think out of the box? Then it will be “Failure Stories”! Are you laughing? We all know a quote “Failure is the pillar of success”. It is very true in its own way. South Asian Youth Society (SAYS) has thought the necessity of failure stories to inspire the young talents and not to get de-motivated in life after being failed.
To do so, SAYS has come up with “Let’s Talk Failure” along with some excellent speakers- Mr. Solaiman Shukhon, Afreen Hossain, Mr. Syed Ghulam Dastagir, Zunaed Rabbani, Preema Nazia Andaleeb, Mr. Bijon Islam, Advocate Tanbir Siddiqui, Arif Iftekhar, Asif Newaz, Saif Kamal from different areas. The program was hosted by Eastern University and took place in its auditorium. The crowd of the delegates was proving the interest of youth to learn from failure stories which is a new concept for sure. The program started at 10:00 am and promotional video was shown made by SAYS members. “Showcasing SAYS” was an another interesting part of “Let’s Talk Failure” which was interpreting the 100 hours fellowship challenge, 5 different member team’s (Active citizenship, Youth empowerment, Peace & prosperity, Community development & Chittagong team) recent activities.
There was a common appreciation of all the speakers that SAYS team has thought something unique which was not usually spoken by any successful person. But the speakers shared so many failure stories which were a great motivation indeed. Speaker’s learning from failure, perception about failure and way of delivering will be an excellent experience for the crowd.
The organising team worked hard to launch this program and had to meet several times to make it successful. To convince the speakers about telling their failure stories was successful because of their belief on themselves. President of SAYS: Towfique A Khan; Project Director: Ashraful Islam; Assistant Project Director: Punna Islam, Rayhan Mahmud; Head of Guest Management: Ziyad Ansary; Executive member: Nayeem Chowdhury – they have been credited for this brilliant work.
It ended with another inspiring speech from Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Pro-VC, Eastern University, Chief Advisor, South Asian Youth Society (SAYS) at 6:00 pm and he distributed certificates among the delegates. The program has ended, but we hope that learning such failure stories’ learning will turn into many “Success stories” in future.
