Spring poem festival enchants Rangpur audience

The colourful “Spring Poem Festival-2020”enchanted a huge audience at Shilpokola Academy auditorium in the city on Saturday night.‘The Anjolika Sahitya Potra’, a local weekly literary magazine, organised the festival with the theme of “Let Us Sing the Song of Victory in Life” and
participation of writers, poets, lyricists, educationists and socio-cultural personalities.
Editor of magazine poet Dilruba Shahadat presided over the festival where recitation of poems, self-composed poems and lyrics dedicated to the queen of
the season “spring” enthralled the audience.
Nazira Banu, wife of Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur Md. Asib Ahsan, attended the festival as the chief guest.
Noted writer and poet Abu Jafar Abdullah and literary organiser and lyricist AKM Shahidur Rahman Bishu addressed the festival as guests of
honour.
Writers and poets Dr. Nasima Akhter, Delwar Hossain, Basher Ibne Jahur, Nahida Yasmin, Mahmud Elahi Mandal, Soilendra Nath Barma, ATM Murshed,
Mahbubul Islam, Shahjahan Mandal, Bimolendu Roy, Nur Nahar Begum, Laila Shirin, Rashida Begum Rubi, Ayesha Siddika, Momin Uddin Patwari and Rezaul
Karim Jiban recited poems, self-composed poems and rhymes dedicated to the spring season.
Thanking the organisers for arranging the festival, the chief guest stressed nurturing Bengali literature, culture and heritage to build a
peaceful and prosperous Bangladesh free from drug, corruption, militancy and terrorism.
