Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Monday urged the youth leaders to stand by the poor people during the coronavirus crisis.
“The whole world is facing a tough situation for this corona pandemic. So it’s high time for the courageous youth to stand by the hapless and needy people,” Quader said.
He came up with the remarks in a video conference from his official residence before distribution of cooked meal among the poor people at the initiative taken by Tanbir Hasan Shaikat , a former member of Dhaka University central student union (Ducsu) in front of Raju memorial sculpture of Dhaka University.
The AL general secretary said the government has taken all possible steps to control the coronavirus situation under the supervision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. “Our Prime Minister is working relentlessly and monitoring the situation to protect everyone in the country.”
Praising the Awami League leaders’ activists he said the leaders and activists of Awami League and its allies have set a rare example in relief activities in the corona crisis, said Quader.
