Sushant , Sara Ali Khan’s Kedarnath to release in March

Ready for her dreamy Bollywood debut, opposite Ranveer Singh in Simmba, Sara Ali Khan will also be seen opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath. Soon after a fallout with filmmaker Prerna Arora, this Abhishek Kapoor directorial was taken over by Ronnie Screwala and November 30 was later announced as film’s release date. But if the latest reports are to be believed, the film will only hit the theatres next year in March and now Rohit Shetty’s Simmba will be considered as her debut film since it releases in December this year.
Confirming the latest development, a source close to the project informed Mumbai Mirror, “With Ronnie’s Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam-starrer, Uri: The Surgical Strike, slated to release in January, and Abhishek Chaubey’s Sonchiraiya, also with Sushant, to open in February, Kedarnath has been pushed to March. However, the makers are yet to zero in on a specific date.”
Soon after wrapping the final schedule of the film in August, director Abhishek Kapoor had informed Mirror that Kedarnath has been his toughest shoot ever. He said, “The terrain and the weather were both daunting and taking a crew of 150 on a trek for a month to shoot is not an easy task.”
All praise for his film’s lead stars Sara and Sushant, he had earlier stated, “He is special. We have an unspoken connection which translates into crackling chemistry on the sets. Sara is equally evolved and possesses her own brand of maturity; when the camera comes on, it’s like some higher inner power takes over. Together, they share an on-screen bond that’s unusually captivating and effortlessly fresh,”reports ANI.
