Sylhet, Oct 23 – In a latest reshuffle, 19 police officers, including the Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP), were transferred on Thursday.
The Home Ministry has issued an order in this regard. The action followed the rise of anti-rape protests and the killing of a man, Raihan, in custody of a police outpost.
DIG Md Nisharul Arif has been made the new commissioner of SMP.
