Tamim to play for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL, Mustafizur for Lahore Qalandars

Karachi Kings earlier secured the service of Shakib Al Hasan for the first edition of the five-franchise Twenty20 competition on Monday.Mustafizur and Tamim were grouped in the Gold category while Shakib was in Platinum, the topmost category, in PSL drafts.Tamim had earlier played in Caribbean Premier League, Sri Lanka Premier League and domestic T20 league of New Zealand. Although he never played in the Indian Premier League, he was in Pune Warriors’ squad.Mustafizur, however, has made it to an overseas league after being handed his first international cap this year.The 20-year-old pacer will have alongside him Icon Chris Gayle, allrounder Dwayne Bravo, Pakistan’s Sohaib Maqsood, Umar Akmal, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Rizwan, among others, in the Lahore franchise.Tamim, on the other hand, will play alongside Icon Shahid Afridi, allrounder Darren Sammy, Wahab Riaz, Kamran Akmal, Mohammad Hafeez and Chris Jordan, to name a few.A fee of $140,000 has been determined for each Platinum player barring the five Icons – Afridi, Gayle, Shoaib Malik, Kevin Pietersen and Shane Watson, each of whom will be paid $200,000.A total of 310 cricketers, including 138 Pakistani players, were divided in five categories in the drafts but 100 of them will be enlisted in teams.
