Tarafder Ruhul Amin exchanges views with BSJA

Dhaka – Tarafder Mohammad Ruhul Amin, one of the prominent football organisers and owner of premier football league club Saif Sports Club, visited the office of Bangladesh Sports Journalists’ Association ( BSJA) on Thursday noon.

During the visit, he exchanged views with the BSJA members and senior sports journalists. Speaking on the occasion, Ruhul Amin criticised the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) management, saying, “Bangladesh Premier League football is one of the major events of Bangladesh football. But it’s unfortunate that the BFF couldn’t run the league properly in the last few years. They’re not properly maintaining the league calendar and that’s why we (clubs) have to face huge financial losses.”

“We have to pay thousands of additional Dollars to foreigner booters playing in the league just for the BFF’s irregular schedule,” he added.

The Saif Sports Club owner also claimed that they did not receive last year’s participation money. “We spent huge money to run clubs, but BFF didn’t support us as expected.”

He said his company Saif Power Battery sponsored the BPL a few years back. “At that time we wanted to spread the league to many venues but BFF couldn’t do it because of many issues. However, this edition of the league will be held in seven venues along with Dhaka. It’s a good sign but we want proper refereeing,” said Tarafder Ruhul Amin, also chairman of Chattogram Abahani Football Committee.

Sadhin Bangla Football team Captain Zakaria Pintu, former national footballer Hasanuzzaman Khan Bablu and BFF executive committee member Sheikh Mohammad Aslam were also present on the occasion.

BSJA President Motaher Hossain Masum presided over the function which was attended by BSJA former president Manzurul Haque and BSJA general secretary Raihan Al Mughni.UNB
