Tauquir’s “Phagun Hawa” goes on floors

Actor -cum-director Tauquir Ahmed, who made his directorial debut through liberation war based film Joyjatra in 2004, has picked language movement as the theme for his next film.The film titled ‘Phagun Hawa’, which is based on Tito Rahman’s short story Bou KAtha Kou, will be the sixth directorial venture of Tauquir Ahmed.Taquir previously directed films like Joyjatra (2004), Rupkothar Golpo (2006), Daruchini Dwip (2007), Oggatonama (2016) and Haldaa (2017).Actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha, who played female lead in Tauquir’s last film Haldaa, will play lead in Phagun Hawa. Abul Hayat, Shahidul Alam Shachchu, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Afroza Banu and Siam Ahmed, among others, will play different characters in the film.
Besides, Indian actor Yashpal Sharma (who has acted in Bollywood films like Lagaan and Hazaron Khwaishein Aisi) will play the character of a Pakistani police officer in the film. Phagun Hawa will be released under the banner of Impress Telefilm Ltd.’We wanted to begin the film’s shooting on March 7 but due to some unavoidable reasons we had to start the shooting from March 10,’ said Tauqir Ahmed.
