Terengganu play goalless draw with Gokulam Kerala

Chattogram – Terengganu FC of Malaysia played to a goalless draw with Sree Gokulam Kerala FC of India in their 2nd match of the eight-team Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup Football Tournament at the floodlit MA Aziz Stadium here on Thursday.

Despite producing several good chances, both the teams failed to score in the crucial match where Azalinullah Bin of Terengganu FC was cautioned with the yellow card.

After the match, Terengganu FC and Gokulam Kerala FC shared the top slot in Group B with four points from two matches having one win and one defeat while Bashundhara Kings are in the 2nd slot bagging three points while Chennai City FC were eliminated from the meet conceding two successive defeats.

Terengganu FC started their campaign crushing another Indian club Chennai City FC by 5-3 goals in their first match while Gokulam Kerala FC stunned Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football Champions Bashundhara Kings beating them by 3-1 goals on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day’s first match, Bashundhara Kings beat Chennai City FC of India by 3-2 goals at the same venue.

In the remaining Group B matches on Saturday, Gokulam Kerala FC will play Chennai City FC at 4pm while Terengganu FC will face Bashundhara Kings at 7pm.
