Three matches of ‘Mujib Barsho’ Women’s Kabaddi decided in opener

DHAKA – Three final round matches of the ‘Mujib Barsho’ National Women’s Kabaddi competition were decided on the opening day (Monday) at Kabaddi Stadium in the city.

In the day’s opening matches, Jhenaidah district beat Rangpur district by 49-14 points, Faridpur district defeated Rangamati district by 39-24 points and Bangladesh Ansar and VDP outclassed Jhenaidah district by 53-11 points.

Earlier, State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Zahid Ahsan Russell MP formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest while Youth and Sports Secretary Akhter Hossain was present as the special guest.

Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) president and director general of Rapid Action Battalion Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun presided over the opening ceremony.

Organised by BKF, the competition is being held on occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.BSS
