Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and police recovered a 13 kg touchstone statue from Gandhashail area in Niamatpur upazila on Friday night. Hafizur Rahman, commander of BGB 59, said a team of police and BGB members led by an executive magistrate conducted a drive in the area and recovered the abandoned statue at 9pm .
Smugglers fled away leaving behind the statue worth Tk 13 lakh, he added, reports UNB from Chapainawabganj.
