Thakurgaon, Mar 14 –A touchstone statue was recovered from a brick kiln at Maheshpur in Ranishankoil Upazila on Saturday night. Locals said workers of JMK brick kiln recovered the touchstone statue, weighing 5.8 kg, from a pile of soil around 8 pm, said Pritom Saha, assistant commissioner (land).
Besides, a broken part of another touchstone statue was also recovered which is 8.5 inch in length and 3.5 inches in width.
On information, police and local administration rushed to the spot and rescued the statue.
The recovered touchstone statues will be sent to the deputy commissioner.
Earlier, on March 10, a touchstone statue, weighing 5.6 kg was recovered from JMK brick kiln and deposited to the treasury of the deputy commissioner. – UNB
