Chapainawabganj – A competition of Bangladeshi traditional game, Kabaddi started at the district stadium on Monday marking the 49th Independence Day of the country.
In the inaugural match, Nachol upazila defeated Bholhat upazila by 67-25 points.
Earlier, Civil Surgeon of Chapainawabganj Dr Saiful Ferdous inaugurated the competition.
Police Superintendent TM Mozahidul Islam, Additional Police Super Mahbub Alam Khan, general secretary of Chapainawabganj District Sports Association Towfikul Islam were also present on the occasion.
Five teams of the district are taking part in the competition, jointly organised by District Police and District Sport Association.UNB
