Two development projects inaugurated in C’nawabganj

A newly constructed underground drain of the town and an under-construction irrigation canal formally inaugurated here on Sunday.
Lawmaker of Chapainawabganj Sadar constituency M Abdul Wadud inaugurated the development project at a simple function at Shahibag of the town as the chief guest.Executive Engineer of Chapainawabganj Pourasabha Saiful Islam presided over the function. Mayor of the municipality Maolana Abdul Matin addressed it, among others.Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) under the supervision of Chapainawabganj municipality constructed one kilometre long underground drain from Sonarmore to Circuit House Road at a cost of Taka 54 lakh.Earlier, the lawmaker inaugurated the construction work of an irrigation canal at Behula village under Gobratala union in Sadar upazila.
