Sirajganj, Aug 21: Two people have been killed as a passenger bus and a pick-up van collided head-on in Sadar upazila of Sirajganj.The deceased were identified as pick-up van owner Abdul Jabbar, 32, and its driver Akter Hossain, 35. They were the residents of Raiganj upazila.
Sadar Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Mahbubur Rahman said the accident took place in Shilnda area on Thursday evening, leaving the duo injured.
They were rushed to Sirajganj 250 Bed Bongamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital where Abdul Jabbar died around 8:30pm.
Akter Hossain was taken to Dhaka following deterioration of his health condition where he died around 3 am Friday.
Two vehicles were seized and taken to the Police Station.
