Cumilla –The Burichang Upazila Administration and Upazila Parishad jointly accorded a reception to U-19 World Cup winning cricketer Mahmudul Hasan here at upazila auditorium Saturday afternoon.
Former Law Minister and Awami League Presidium Member Abdul Matin Khasru MP was the chief guest at the function, presided by UNO Imrul Hasan.
Chairman of the Burichong Upazila Parishad Akhlakh Haider, former Chairman of Brahmanpara Upazila Jahangir Khan Chowdhury and President of Burichang Upazila Awami League Advocate Abul Hashem Khan were present at the function as special guests.
Earlier, people from all walks of life greeted Mahmudul Hasan after his arrival at his village home ‘Uttar Gram’.
The villagers arranged a reception for him at Uttar Gram Government Primary School ground.
Reception was also accorded to him at Rajapur Union Parishad. Local UP Chairman Golam Mostafa and Engineer Idris Mehedi were present, among others.UNB
