Use positive image to promote business, Minister tells BD entrepreneurs

Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad on Wednesday urged the Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to utilise positive image in the development of the country’s business.He made the appeal while addressing a meeting with the DCCI trade delegation and the leaders of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Japan in Tokyo, according to a message received here today.
DCCI president M Sabur Khan and Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Masud Bin Momen also spoke at the meeting besides other local business entrepreneurs.
Abul Kalam Azad said Bangladesh and Japan maintain a good relation since long. He said arts and culture of Bangladesh were projected in a very positive manner in the “Bangladesh Project” of Setouchi Art Festival held recently.
The minister said the Bangladesh government offers various investment-friendly packages for foreign investment and invited the Japanese entrepreneurs to invest in Bangladesh taking advantage of these packages.
Sabur Khan said the DCCI has established a Help Desk on its own premises to facilitate trade and commerce, and the foreign investors will also get services from this desk.
He invited Japanese investors to invest in renewable energy, wind power, infrastructure, tourism, communication, agriculture, agro-food, and pharmaceutical sectors in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Masud Bin Momen assured all possible support from the Embassy to facilitate bilateral trade and investment between Bangladesh and Japan. – UNB
