Use talent for world’s good, Yunus to US graduates

Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus on Saturday asked the young graduates of the United States of America (USA) to use their talent for the well being of the world as well as its habitants.Yunus came up with the remark while addressing as the commencement speaker the convocation programme at Babson College of Wellesley, Massachusetts, said a Yunus Centre release on Sunday.

Yunus, also the founder of Grameen Bank, asked the graduates not to remain satisfied with merely being beneficiary of the new technologies, rather develop new amazing technologies to create a new world of three zeros — zero poverty, zero unemployment and zero net carbon — in the shortest possible time.

He urged them to use most of their creative power to solve human problems, and keep only a small fraction of it to create their own personal comforts.

Sprawling over a 500 acre campus, Babson College is considered to be the topmost entrepreneurship college in the United States and has been ranked so for the last 23 years.
