Varun becomes the highest paid Gen-X actor now

Call him industry’s brightest hope or the current shinig star, Varun Dhawan has always had cent per cent record at the box-office with three hits. Those are films like October, Sui Dhaaga: Made In India to his credit this year. The young star is currently busy shooting for Dharma Productions’ Kalank for which he even recently shot the toughest scene of his career and went through a major physical transformation. Other than Kalank, Junior Dhawan will also be seen in Remo D’Souza’s dance film, ABC3D opposite Katrina Kaif which will be shot in 3D and release in 4D and IMAX format.
Speaking about the project, the latest we hear that Varun has hiked his fee and will be charging whopping Rs 21 crore for the project. Commenting on the same, a source informed a leading portal, “Though Sui Dhaaga: Made In India and October weren’t exact money-spinners, there is no denying that Varun is the most bankable amongst the young crop of actors. The producers have agreed to the amount. This fee places him in a league higher than Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor.”
Now that’s a huge thing for Varun, making him the highest paid Gen-X actor. Interestingly, ABC3D will start Kat as a Pakistani dancer. The film also marks the movie debut of Shakti Mohan who is popularly known for her song, Aa Re Pritam Pyare from Rowdy Rathore, reports filmfare.
